I find that I am more confident and as a result successful with my painting when I paint on a good canvas.  Bespoke canvases are stunning but expensive and I do not like the restrains of the off-the-shelf canvases, so where else could I go to get what I wanted?  Making them myself, but I had never done anything like that before and what if I got wrong, well I did and I made mistakes but that was five years ago and after trials and errors I have perfected a way that works really well for me and is very affordable.  

I am offering a few workshops to teach you my learnings and give you the time to make your own, once you have done one you will be able to make as many as you like and to your chosen size.

The workshop is set in my working art studio.  The setting is informal and the groups will be small with a maximum of 4 people.  A great chance to meet like minded peopled and enjoy the sensational, far reaching heritage views of the rolling South Downs National Park.   

This workshop is suitable for all abilities, whether you have just started painting, are well established but never stretched your own canvases or  like the idea of painting.   In previous classes there was much talk of the money saving benefits of stretching your own canvases, also the importance of being in control of the proportions of your canvas rather than settling for off the shelf.
