Patterns of Communication
This image is part of a series exploring the nature of shadows. Are shadows just a passive result of optics, or are they things in themselves?
Victoria Albuquerque is drawn to shadows which often appear as subtle or startling figures in their own right, setting off the meaning of an image by creating a dialogue. In this picture the shadows are the actors within the space, and yet they are a product of the space.
‘Patterns of Communication’ was taken during the full moon of 11th June 2024, the aperture was open for 3.2 sec and 13mm f2.4. The digital file has been converted into a giclee print using archival inks and 310gsm Canson Cotton Rag. The print run number comes from a number, meaning ‘trust the process, trust that everything will work out’.
I have 22 prints (unframed) for offer until the RA exhibition finishes 17th August 2025.
Each print is 40 x 50 cm and can be shipped worldwide, get in touch for shipping prices.
