Are shadows just a passive result of optics, or are they things in themselves?
Victoria Albuquerque is drawn to shadows which often appear as subtle or startling figures in their own right, setting off the meaning of an image by creating a dialogue. In this picture the shadows are the actors within the space, and yet they are a product of the space.

The digital file has been converted into a giclee print using archival inks and 310gsm Canson Cotton Rag.
