Oil paint on a square canvas; the painting is titled 'Seduction'
This painting is a celebration of the human body.
Before beginning any painting, I spend time with the model and the chosen pose, just sitting and observing; I noticed the skin tone, the light that reflected off the skin and alters the colour of the skin, I see the shadows than formed in the cups of the folds of the body and with celebration and respect, I put down in paint what I see. Some of it measured to get the proportions right, all the while listening. to my instinct and the dialogue between my eyes and my hands.
The finished painting has been framed. I choose to frame 'Seduction' with solid oak wood, which stained dark brown this high lights the grain of the wood, while framing the painting. Oil paintings do not have glass in front of them, which allows the painting to breath.
